Mukund G. Shah, M.D.

Specialty: Medical Oncology
 
Dr. Shah's clinical expertise is in lung, colon, breast, lymphoma, prostate, and gynecological cancers. He has practiced for over 22 years here in the Antelope Valley and is on active medical staff at Antelope Valley Hospital and Lancaster Community Hospital. He previously served as Chief of Staff at Antelope Valley Hospital and has served on many of their committees.
 

Community Involvement

Dr. Shah has held numerous positions at our local American Cancer Society® Chapter, including Ambassador of the Year and President. He is very active in the community, speaking on topics ranging from cancer prevention to cancer treatment options. He is also a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Experience That Counts

Dr. Shah attended B.J. School of Medicine in India for his medical education, and he did his internship at Euclid General Hospital in Euclid, Ohio.

His residency was done at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois, in the Department of Internal Medicine. He completed his fellowship in Oncology at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Shah is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine®, subspecialty in Medical Oncology.

Ronald W. Miller, M.D.

Specialty: Hematology and Medical Oncology
 
Dr. Miller's clinical expertise in Hematology (blood disorders) is leukemia, coagulation disorders, anemia, platelet disorders, and white blood cell disorders. In Oncology, Dr. Miller specializes in breast, lung, colon, prostate, and lymphoma cancers. He has practiced for over 3 years here in the Antelope Valley, and is on active medical staff at Antelope Valley Hospital and Lancaster Community Hospital, and on courtesy staff at High Desert Hospital. Dr. Miller has held various faculty positions at the University of California, Los Angeles., Martin Luther King Hospital, Columbia University and at Drew University. He is also a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Hematology.

Dr. Miller attended Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, New York for his medical education, and did his internship and residency at Harlem Hospital in New York, New York in the Department of Internal Medicine. Following his residency, he acted as Chief Resident at Harlem Hospital through Columbia University. He completed his fellowships in Hematology/Oncology at the University of California Los Angeles. Dr. Miller is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Yuchi Peng, M.D.

Director Radiation Oncology, Deplomate American Board of Radiation
 
Dr. Peng completed medical degree at Indiana University Medical Center, in Indiana. He designed and developed a patented precision whole body radio couch for Bone-Marrow Transplant patients and obtained the residents research award. Dr. Peng has served at UCLA Radiation Oncology, Wishire Oncology Medical Group and as Director of Radiation Oncology at Havasu Regional Medical Center. He is a board certified Radiation Oncologist with special interests in intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image guided IMRT, three dimensional conformal radiation therapy, real time prostate radioactive seeds implant surgery and various high-dose rate brachytherapy to complement the traditional external beam radiation therapy for the spectrum of various malignancies and nonmalignant diseases.

Neeraj Agnihotri, M.D.

Dr. Agnihotri received his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital in Ludhiana, India. He was awarded the 'Best All-round Graduating Medical Student,' he speaks four languages.

His Master is Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics School of Public Health and Health Sciences, University of Massachusetts in Amhearst, Ma. His Internship and Fellowship in Hematology/Medical Oncology at Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, N.Y. Research Associate, Department of Radiology, Division of Abdominal Imaging and Intervention, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, Mass.
 
 
Dr.Merla | Palmdale, CA | Antelope Valley Cancer Center

Amartej Merla, M.D.

 
Dr. Amartej Merla completed his internal medicine training at St Luke's University hospital, a major teaching hospital for Temple-St.Lukes medical school and Temple University, Philadelphia.

He completed his Hematology-Oncology fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Dr. Merla had previously held faculty position at Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis.He specializes in breast, gastrointestinal, prostate and lung cancers. He also has special interest in lymphomas and other hematological problems. He is currently active staff at Antelope Valley Hospital and Palmdale Regional Medical Center. He was also trained in United Kingdom and gained valuable international experience before moving to USA. He is currently a member of American Society for Clinical Oncology and American Society of Hematology.
